Tactical pistol PACKAGE
intermediate/advanced
learn and apply techniques for personal defense in a close quarters situation.
For gun owners must have some pistol experience who desire to learn strategic movements applying the Center Axis Re-Lock platform used in close quarters and for those who want to improve on GUN SAFETY.
LEVEL 1 INTERMIDIATE
You will continue to apply the gun safety principals as you work on proper handling, and tactical shooting fundamentals in an outdoor controlled range environment. Class time is focused on developing the shooter's skillset, situational awareness, and holster competency; drawing, shooting, and re-holstering. Students take this course to learn life-saving knowledge and skills.
LEVEL 2 ADVANCED
You will learn how to apply the tactical shooting techniques learned in Tactical Pistol Level 1 (prerequisite) to real-word conflict/threat scenarios in a live-fire environment. Students take this course to develop a defensive/offensive mindset, hone their tactical capabilities, and re-enforce life-saving knowledge and skills. Bring at least 250 rounds of ammo. Range fees not included.
GUN SAFETY STANDARDS remain the highest priority while working on these techniques.
The "Firearm Fundamentals and Gun Safety" class is a suggested course, but not required. The "Tactical Pistol Novice/Beginner" is required.
You must know your own firearm and understand Gun Safety Standards.
PREPARE. PREVENT. PREVAIL.
LEVEL 2 GOAL
Train people in the safe and proper method of advanced firearms handling and to learn new skills while improving on existing shooting skills.
DAY 2: Range Application Level 2
This class builds from Level 1 improving and adding more intermediate skills. Weapons retention techniques, Tueller drill, supine defensive drill, firearm transitioning and how to react immediately to mechanical difficulties with your firearm in a safe and expedient manner. The student is generally surprised to see how well they can shoot with their non-dominant hand.
GUN SAFETY STANDARDS remain the highest priority while working on these techniques.
As part of the course curriculum, an urban conflict drill (U.C.D.) will be the last stage of live fire that the student will engage in. During this stage all the elements of safety and the skills that were learned will all come into play.
Every evolution in Level 2 is built from Level 1 training. If the student is unable to be focused and teachable the student will make safe the firearm and choose to stay and work with a demonstrator gun until the Instructor and student agree that the student can return to the live fire course.
